the filipino olympian's oath
I am a Filipino. I am an Olympian. I am a Filipino Olympian.
As a member of the Philippine Olympians Association, I pledge to forever promote the ideals and values of the Olympic movement: To have a vision, to be focused, to be committed, to be disciplined and to persevere.
I shall endeavor to serve as a continuing example and model of the Filipino youth so that they may desire to participate in sports and achieve excellence; to give their best as they struggle and be humble as they triumph.
May the Almighty God give me the strength and wisdom to fulfill these tasks that I may be an Olympian, forever.
For the glory of my country, the Philippines.
our motto
“This motto of the WOA is intended to remind us that even after our sports careers, we must continue to live by the values we developed as athletes and to always be conscious of and adhere to the principles of Olympism.” Arturo R. Macapagal (late President, POA 2002-2015)
“Once an Olympian,
always an Olympian.”
