Abdurahman Ali was a swimmer, the first to Filipino to compete in the men's 100-meter freestyle event of the Summer Olympic Games. Ali placed third in one of the qualifying heats of the said event in the 1932 Games in Los Angeles where he swam against eventual gold medalist Yasuji Miyazaki of Japan, the first non-American to win the event. Ali's 1:02.2 was not good enough to advance him to the semifinals, a clocking that earned him the 11th place out of 24 contenders.

A soldier, Ali was killed in action fighting for the Philippines in World War II.
