Nils Adolph Isabello Christiansen was a swimmer who competed in two events at the 1936 Summer Olympics. He was the son of American missionaries of Spanish Scandinavian descent in the Philippines.

At the age of 23, he competed in his first and only Olympic Games. The Philippine Team placed 4th in heat four round one of the men’s 4 x 200 metres Freestyle Relay. Christiansen also competed in the 100m backstroke where he finished 3rd in heat three of round one and 5th in heat one of the semi-finals. However, he did not qualify to advance to the finals.

He returned to the United States to attend the School of Mines in the 1930s and eventually settle in Golden, Colorado. As a potential member of the US team for the 1940 Olympics, he was involved in re opening the local indoor pool where he gave swimming lessons.
