Nicolas Arcales was a wrestler who was the lone Filipino in the wrestling event of the 1956 OIympic Games in Melbourne, Australia.

He earned a slot in the Games after winning the silver medal in the 1954 Asian Games in Manila.

In Melbourne, he lost to Hans Sterr of Germany with a fall in the first round, and to eventual silver medal winner Georgy Skhirtladze of the Soviet Union, also with a fall, in the second round of the middleweight freestyle.

His last international competition was at the 1958 Asian Games in Tokyo, Japan.
