Alberto T. Nogar Sr was a weightlifter who competed at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, Italy.

At 26 years old, he competed in his first and only Olympic Games. He was 8th out of 28 participants with a record of 325 kg. Nogar also represented the Philippines in the bantamweight during the 1958 3rd Asian Games in Tokyo, Japan and received the bronze medal.

He also finished 5th place in the 1958 World Championship in Stockholm, Sweden. He died of natural causes at the age of 78 on February 15, 2013, at the Philippine Heart Centre.
