Enrique Bautista was a sprinter who competed in the men's 200 metres and 4 × 100 metres Relay at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, Italy. In his junior year in 1953, he finished fourth at the BPISAA in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, clocking 11.2. The defining moment for Bautista was in 1958 at the Tokyo Asian Games where he took bronze in the 200m. In 1959, he timed 10.6 and 21.7.

He competed in his first and only Olympic Games at the age of 26. He timed 23.16 in the heats, placing 5 th in heat 8 and did not progress. He was also a member of the 4x100 which was 4 th in heat 4 in 41.55 time and also failed to progress.
