Geronimo Cruz was a basketball player who competed in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, Italy.

The four-time national player owns the distinction as a Filipino basketball star recruited to play abroad. In 1959, he was drafted to play for the University of San Francisco Dons and had a short stint until he was recalled to Manila by his previous employer, the Ysmael Steel.

He competed in his first and only Olympic Games in 1960 in Rome where the Philippine team placed 11th out of 16 countries. Cruz also saw action at World Championship in Santiago, Chile, in 1959; Asian Games in Jakarta in 1962; and the Asian Basketball Confederation tournament in Taipei, in 1963.
