Cristobal Ramas was a basketball player who was a part of the national team in the Olympics. Entering the competition in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Italy, Ramas stands 6 ft 4 in, one of the tallest ever to hail from the Philippines. Ramas is a product of the University of the Visayas in Cebu, and the commerce program of the University of Santo Tomas from 1957 to 1959. Later on, Ramas bagged gold with the Philippine team in the 1962 Asian Games in Jakarta.
