Paterno Miranda was also a Filipino sports shooter competing in the rapid-fire pistol event. Miranda competed in the 1964 Japan Olympics and later on in the 1968 Mexico Olympics. He represented the Philippines in the 1966 Asian Games in Thailand, where he bagged two medals.
