Elias Tolentino was a basketball player who competed in the 1968 Summer Olympics held in Mexico.

He was a five-time national player and one of the major faces in Philippine basketball in the 1960s and early 1970s. At the age of 26, he participated in his first and only Olympic games. The Philippine Team came in 13th place out of 16 countries overall in the men’s basketball event.

In 1963 he played for the Philippine team that won the Asian Basketball Conference (ABC – now the FIBA Asia Cup) title in Taipei. He also played for the national team at the ABC in 1969 and at the 1970 Asian Invitational in Manila. Tolentino finished his club career in the Philippine Basketball Association playing for Toyota in 1976 and Seven-Up in 1977.
