Olympian Rogelio Melencio was a basketball player with Olympic appearances as part of the Philippine men’s basketball team in the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico and in the 1972 Summer Olympics in Germany. He also played for the Yutivo Opels and the Concepcion Industries in the Manila Industrial and Commercial Athletic Association.
