Ramón Aldea was an archer who competed in the men's individual event at the 1972 Summer Olympics. He was one of two Filipinos who qualified for the Games, and placed 54th after scoring 2,102 points. He has been included in the prestigious Scroll of Honor Awardee for Archery in 1988 by the Philippine Olympic Committee.

Also an avid shooter, he served as juror in the shooting competition of the Manila Southeast Asian Games in 1981. He is a founding member of the Philippine Olympian Association.
