Mariano Ong was a sports shooter who competed in the 1972 and 1976 Summer Olympics.

He was a consistent national record-holder in the rapid-fire event since 1972. He competed in the 25 m rapid-fire pistol open at the 1972 and 1976 Olympic Games. He placed 57th out of 62 participants at the 1972 Summer Olympics. At the 1976 Summer Olympics, he placed 44th out of 48 contenders. From 1977 until his retirement from competitive shooting in 1997, Ong competed at the Southeast Asian Games. He won several medals, including a gold in 1992 in the rapid-fire pistol team event. He was also awarded a gold masters badge at the 1974 World Championships.

Ong was an industrialist who started Malabon Soap and Oil Industrial Co., which made Spring Cooking Oil.
