Isidro del Prado was a sprinter who competed in the 1984 Summer Olympics. He holds the 400m Philippine records in athletics and once held the 200m record which was broken in 2007 by Ralph Waldy Soguilon. At the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, he competed in the men’s 400m event and placed 3rd in heat eight of the first round, clocking 46.82. He advanced to the quarterfinals and placed 8th in heat four with 46.71 time, failing to qualify for the semifinals. Del Prado was one of the best athletes produced by the Gintong Alay sports program.

He won medals in the 400m event at the 1982 and 1984 Asian Championships, as well as the 1981, 1983, 1987, and 1989 Southeast Asian Games. He improved the Philippine 400 m record seven times, leaving it at 45.57s, which he ran in 1984 at the ASEAN Cup. Del Prado later became a coach, guiding the Philippine team for many years, and in 2009 began coaching the Brunei national team.
