Ryan Arabejo was a swimmer who competed in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. He suffered asthma as a child, which he overcame through swimming.

At 19, Arabejo earned a slot in the Olympics by finishing six seconds faster than the qualifying standard of 15:45.12 for the 1,500m men's freestyle event.

In the Olympics, he placed 32nd out of 37 participants with a time of 15:42.77 in Beijing. Arabejo held the Philippine record in the 400-meter freestyle (3:58.51) and the 50m backstroke (28.29). He represented the country to the 2007 World Swimming Championships, the 2006 and 2010 Asian Games, and the 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011 Southeast Asian Games
