Eumir Marcial is a 29-year-old Filipino boxer, born on October 25, 1995 in Zamboanga City. He began boxing at the age of seven under his father, since he was the head coach of Zamboanga City boxing team. At the age of 16, he won the International Boxing Association Junior World Championships. He returned to the Olympics in Paris aiming for gold but suffered an early exit to Republic of China’s Tuohetaerbieke Tanglatihan.

He also carries a bronze medal from the 2020 Summer Olympics. The boxer boasts 3 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) gold medals earned from the 2015, 2017, and 2019. In the 2019 SEA Games championship, it only took him 71 seconds to knock out his opponent, and 30 seconds to prompt the referee to give a standing 8 count to the opponent. He is also a 2018 Asian Games bronze medallist.
