Juvic Pagunsan earned a spot in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by reaching the top 60 in the International Golf Federation rankings. The Bacolod native was also able to win 2 Southeast Asian golds from the 2001 and 2005 games.
Juvic Pagunsan turned professional in 2006 and went on to compete at the Asian Games. He was also the first Filipino to win the Order of Merit trophy. Juvic’s father Juanito, a former caddy and professional golfer, taught him golf at Binitin, the golf club where the father and son worked as caddies and subsequently became professional players.
