Cebuana native, Margielyn Didal was the representative of the Philippines at the women’s street skate event in the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. This makes her the first Filipina skateboarder to qualify for the Olympics since skateboarding made its Olympic debut in the same year. Didal placed 7th overall in the event.

At the age of 12, Didal started her journey in the sport. Since then, she has been representing the Philippines in various skating competitions making her the first Filipino representative in international competitions such as the X Games and the Street League Skateboarding in the US and London, respectively. She won a gold medal for the 2018 Asian Games and 2 gold medals from the Southeast Asian Games. In 2020, she also bagged the Women’s Asia Skater of the Year which is the top award in the 2020 Asia Skate Awards.
