Luke Gebbie represented the Philippines in the 50m and 100m freestyle events of the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. He won silver in the 4x100m freestyle relay and bronze in the 50m freestyle at the 30th Southeast Asian Games in 2019. He established the national record in the men's 100m freestyle with a time of 49.94 seconds at the 2019 FINA World Championships in Gwangju, South Korea, while also breaking the Olympic Standard Time of 50.03 seconds, which he set before.

The Melbourne-based tanker is Filipino-Kiwi and was born on November 7, 1996.
