Hidilyn Francisco Diaz is a 4-time Olympic Filipino weightlifter who competed in the 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020 Summer Olympics. From being the first female weightlifter who represented the Philippines in the 2008 Summer Olympics, she has now also earned the title of being the first Filipina to earn an Olympic gold medal for the Philippines. She succeeded in setting this record by lifting a total weight of 224 kilograms at the women’s 55-kg class at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Her stellar performance has led her to have numerous awards in her career. Diaz won gold at the 2015 Asian Championships, the 2018 Asian Games, and the 2019 SEA Games. She won silver at the 2011 and 2013 SEA Games, 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, 2019 Asian Championships, and the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. Moreover, she won bronze at the 2007 SEA Games, 2015, 2017, and 2019 World Championships, and 2016 Asian Championships.
