John Ceniza, born February 7, from Barangay Pasil, Cebu City. He began weightlifting at the age of 13 years old. At a young age he was working as a helper and parking attendant to support himself. He earned his first Olympic ticket through a strong performance at the International Weightlifting Federation World Cup. In the Paris 2024 Olympics his campaign in the men’s 61-kg event ended after he attempted 125 kilograms in all three snatch lifts.
