Joanie Delgaco born on March 1, 1998 in Iriga City, Camarines Sur. She made history as the country’s first-ever Olympic Filipina rower. At just 17, she left her hometown and traveled to Manila, willing to make sacrifices through competitive sports in hopes of lifting her family from poverty. At the Paris 2024 Olympics she finished 20th overall in the women’s single sculls at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium.
