Kayla Sanchez, born on April 7, 2001 in Singapore to OFW parents. Her family moved to Canada when she was two. At the age of four she entered competitive swimming at eight. At the Paris 2024 Olympics, quarterfinal heat with a time of 53.67 seconds, breaking the Philippine national record of 54.25 seconds that she had set. She reached the semifinals of the 100m freestyle, finishing fourth in her.
